A Poem About a Fool

There was once a fool named Cheque.

Cheque loved to play the fool.

Every day, Cheque would pull pranks,

He made it so his gags rose high up the ranks.

Cheque loved to hear himself laugh, no matter other's disdain.

His laugh was infectious, even through the pain.

But Cheque had enemies, no doubt.

They often wanted his head.

They said, "Away with you Cheque! Before the Makers come your way!"

Cheque refused to listen, no doubt. For he was a fool unlike any other.

Oh, but a wise fellow, Cheque was. He had words for such unlikely doubts.

Cheque made sure to give the town his biggest prank of all.

He fooled them with a disappearing act that shocked many, but not all.

For Cheque had one trick that came directly from his sleeve.

It was a bomb. And it was ticking, minutes for thee.

He threw the bomb, to the town's dismay. The bomb soared high into the sky.

KA-BOOM! The bomb exploded. Bringing the town to its supposed doom.

But rather than explode, as many would think. The bomb just launched confetti all over the street.

There was, however, an explosion quite great.

The poor fool left the oven on. Oh, the cake he wanted to bake.

The people would finally have a laugh, this time at Cheque's expense.

"Next time," Cheque groaned, "I'm bartering for free steak."
